Chaplains

Lets introduce our Chaplins for the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

Pastor Henrik Lidman has served as a chaplain since 2013. He is the Pastor of Prayer and Praise Assembly of God in Ludington where he has served for over 20 years.

Originally from Sweden Henrik serves on several boards in our community and is also active in the local ministerial association.

His service in the department is not very public as he focuses mostly on meeting one on one with the deputies and also being available if there are other needs.

Pastor Brian Ford has been happily married to his wife, Maureen, since 1985 and has been in full time ministry since 1988. He moved his family to Ludington in 2005 to become the pastor of Living Word Church. It is a dynamic congregation, which is known in Mason County for it’s many outreaches and the impact it continues to make on the community.

Pastor Ford believes that ministry should extend beyond the walls of the local church. Years ago, he began reaching out to government officials to offer encouragement and spiritual guidance. Today, he ministers weekly to dozens of people serving in government in local, state and national offices.

In 2024, he was invited to become a chaplain for the Mason County Sheriff’s Office to be an encouragement to the department. In addition, Pastor Ford travels to other nations, primarily to minister to and strengthen local pastors and their congregations. So far, he has ministered in Canada, Central America, South America, Europe and Africa.
